Duncan Ermer has been with Skills for Rhode Island’s Future since 2018. He serves as the Director of Career Services and is also a career coach. Since joining SkillsRI, Duncan has helped enroll 600 candidates into innovative training programs and helped over 200 candidates find employment. Before working at SkillsRI, Duncan was the Director of Career Services at a local trade school where he provided resume writing, interview workshops, job coaching, and pre-employment training to students. During his tenure at the school, he assisted over 2500 graduates to reenter the workforce into new and exciting career pathways. He has over 10 years of experience in one-on-one coaching with job seekers.

Priscilla is a bilingual Career Coach at Skills for Rhode Island’s Future. Since joining SkillsRI, she has helped lead a variety of programs for the organization that support career growth for Rhode Islanders, particularly English Language Learners. She often leads presentations in Spanish and actively recruits and supports individuals navigating training and professional development programs. She also supports candidates with resume writing, interview preparation, change of career counseling and one-on-one coaching. Outside of SkillsRI, Priscilla is a Career Coach under the Governor’s Coaching Corp, a Mentor for the Rhode Island Leadership Partners, and a member of the Puerto Rican Professionals Association of Rhode Island. Priscilla has spent the last ten years of her career working with nonprofit organizations that focus on developing individuals to secure employment and plan for a successful career.

Carolyn is a Career Coach at Skills for Rhode Island’s Future, where she focuses on helping job seekers build the confidence they need to nail their interview and gain meaningful employment. She started her career as a Recruiter in 2019, specializing in professional services-related positions. Before joining SkillsRI, Carolyn attained her bachelor’s degree in Psychology. To-date, she has helped over 100 candidates with interview preparation, resume writing, job search strategies, and one-on-one coaching. Carolyn is known for her calm demeanor and ability to get to the root of the mental challenges jobseekers may be feeling in their job search.

Christina Battista is a Supported Employment Career Coach at Skills for Rhode Island’s Future, where she primarily focuses on helping individuals that identify as having disabilities prepare for and successfully secure meaningful employment. Previously, she has worked with various nonprofit organizations, serving as an advocate for people who identify with having a disability and face challenges like employment or housing. Christina is known to be passionate about her work and a great resource to the IDD community.
