About this Workshop

Skills for Rhode Island's Future (SkillsRI) is recruiting candidates for Ready.Set.Work! This FREE 4-day intensive sponsored by the Rhode Island Foundation will provide job seekers with the tools needed to successfully navigate today’s job market. Participants will receive career coaching services including job placement assistance from experienced SkillsRI recruiters. Get on the fast-track to great employment opportunities!

Note: this training program will be delivered entirely in Spanish for our Spanish-speaking candidates.

Workshop Details

  • Date: March 1 - March 4, 2021
  • Hours: 9am – 5pm; Monday – Thursday
  • Location: Virtual via Zoom (Computers Available)

Day 1 – Reset and re-learn the science of job seeking. Break down common myths and uncover the hidden side of talent acquisition and hiring. Industry professionals will share lesser-known secrets. Complete the CliftonStrengths assessment and receive expert coaching.

Day 2
– Rebrand to impress potential employers. Learn how to build your personal brand from industry professionals and marketing experts. Social media is your friend when done right! Learn how to tell your story effectively in an interview and impress potential employers.

Day 3
– Retool your resume and expand your skill set. Discover effective strategies to get noticed and set yourself apart from the crowd. Access the resources you need to succeed in the post-COVID marketplace. Receive guidance and assistance rebuilding your resume.

Day 4
– Rise up and take control of your future. Prepare to leave the program with valuable tools and actionable next steps. Explore employment opportunities available NOW! SkillsRI staff can help you identify options based on your personal goals.
